This trek is suited for those who want to experience the culture based trekking in Nepal. The trail offers visitors unique and memorable exposure to one of the most culturally and traditionally diverse areas of Nepal. It is a culturally diverse trail that has seen few tourists. The ethnic groups prevalent in this area are the Sherpas, Tamang, Thami, Majhi, Newar, and Yolmo. The trail is a low elevation trail ranging from 533m to 3,146m. Along the trail there is a Sun Koshi river flowing to the south, Tama Koshi in the east and Thulo Sailung in the North. The trek offers visitors  the mixture of culture, language, tradition and ethnic diversity  along with the panoramic mountain views including the views of Mt. Kanchanjunga, Numbur peak, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Day 01: Arrival In Kathmandu, Airport Pick Up and drop to the hotel

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing

After breakfast, a representative from our office will come to your hotel where he will introduce you with your tour guide. Visit historical & cultural place like Syambhunath, Boudhanath, Pasupatinath temple, Patan Durbar Square. After sightseeing proceed back to your hotel where you will meet your trekking guide. He will let you know about the leaving time for the next day. The rest of the time prepare your trekking gear.

Day 03: Drive to Mudhe Deurali (2298m) by bus then hike to Dhunge

Drive time: 5 hours

Walking time: 2 hours.

The guide will come to your hotel room then he will arrange the taxi for Bus Park, where you will ride the local bus to Mudhe Deurali. If you prefer privet Jeep instead of local bus, let us know at the beginning, the cost of which you have to pay extra.  Along the way you can get the chance to see terraced hill side, local village, Forest, River, Mountain View & Farming land. After reaching Deurali, gradually uphill initial hour through farmland, forest, Local village and meadow, then rest of the trail we need to follow road until Dhunge where we home stay overnight.

Day 04: Dhunge to Surkey (2054m)

Walking time: 6 hour

Most of the trail is uphill all the way to Sailung Danda (3140m) which takes about 2.5 hours, where you can get 360 degree panoramic views of the valley. Then the rest of the trail goes downhill through Rajveer Monastery and Dhara all the way to the river where you can find beautiful waterfall and suspension bridge, and at the last you need to climb up the hill to Surkey for about an hour. During this time you will pass across many pastures, local villages, Potato fields & Pine forest. If the weather is good, we can get the glimpse of Himalayan range such as Dorjelakpa, Numburchuli, Gourisankar, Dhaulagiri and third highest peak of the world Kanchanjana. You may also encounter some wildlifes. Cultures, Religion, Local uniform, Monastery, Stupas, Temple & Sailung Danda are the main attractions to see here. While you are at Rajveer Monastery, you can watch Lama Traditional Chanting if you are interested, but they might charge you for the show. Also, you can experience about the traditional Thami culture.

Day 05: Surkey to Doramba (2054m)

Walking time: 4 hour

From Surkey, the trail goes slightly uphill to Deurali from where we have to follow the road until Doramba. During the hike we can see nice mountain ranges, Tamang village and local farmland around Doramba. Himalayan view, Hilly region, local indigenous peoples and their villages, indigenous Tamnag culture, forest, Stupa, Monastery, wildlife & valley view are the major attraction for the day. Stay overnight at home stay.

Day 06: Doramba to Khandadevi  (1986m) via Galpa bazaar

Walking time: 5.5 hours

Here the trail goes slightly uphill until the ridge then steeply down to Galpa bazaar then rest of trail follows the road through local village all the way to Khandadevi Temple. This temple is very famous for the Hindus where they sacrifice goat, rooster, buffalo and pigeon to the goddess. Different seized bells and tridents surround the temple. Today you can see same as usual, like, farming land, traditional Nepali mountain house, traditional indigenous village, Hilly region & Valley view. At Khandadevi, if you are interested, you can watch special traditional Jhakri (Witch) dance where you have to pay separately. If you like to see Hindus tradition of sacrificing animals to their god, you can visit Khandadevi temple early in the next morning where you can see the scenic landscape as well as sunrise.

Day 07: Khandadevi to Dongme (1582m)

Walking time: 4.5 hours

Initially the trail follows the road until Khandadevi Bhanjyang then slightly uphill through the forest until Dongme hill via Hill Devi. Then rest of the trail goes downhill more or less for an hour then needs to follow road until Dongme. Forest, Mountain View, Sunkosi River View, Valley view, Chhorten, Monastery, wildlife, Yolmo cultural packages and wilderness walk are the major attractions for the day.

Day 08: Dongme to Lubughat (818m)

Walking time: 4.5 hour

Here the trail goes uphill to Sunapati hill, then rest of the trail goes downhill all the way to Lubughat. Today you will pass many local villages, farming land, forest, Mountain view, Sunkosi River & valley view. You can also experience the traditional Majhi culture who basically stays at the bank of the river and keep on fishing on the traditional way. Fishing and rafting on the  sunkosi river are the mode of enjoyment for the day.

Day 09: Lubhughat to Nepalthok then drive to Kathmandu

Walking time: 1hour

Driving time: 5.5 hour

Last day of the trek so hike for one hour to Nepalthok where you can find the local bus to Banepa. After reaching there, take another local bus to Kathmandu. Stay overnight, which is included with the company package, if you intend on staying longer you have to arrange by yourself or kindly request us. Day 10: Drop to airport, bid farewell and good bye
